We are pleased to welcome back the Kearney Beavers and Wolf Pack.  They will be planning fun activities for the family to enjoy!  Visit their tent on Main Street. Saturday 11:00 am -2:00pm Sunday 11:00am - 1:00pm

 

Joining  them will be the Ministry of Natural Resources activity Trailer.

Steve Nicholson Dead Wood Carvings Company Gravenhurst Ontario will be carving a creation out of wood yet to be disclosed.  Stop by and watch to see what is unveiled.

 

Face Painting in the Community Centre by Janice Paterson's Painted Kids.  Free on Saturday February 12th.

 

Fat Tire Mountain Bike snow race taking place at 2:00pm.  Watch as they set out to race the 4 mile in the snow.  A unique bike to see.

 

Silent Auction in Community Centre.

 

ON Saturday 1 to 2  and Sunday 2 to 3 at the Lions Park Skating Rink.  The Burks Falls Skating Club will be having a demonstration.

 

 The Burk's Falls Figure Skating Club is registered with Skate Canada and is a non-profit recreational club that allows anyone of any age to come and learn how to skate or become a better skater. We are a growing club.  Our CanSkate program runs on Monday nights from 5pm-6pm at the Burk's Falls arena.  Senior skaters practice Mondays & Thursdays.  Our club is represented at various Competitions around the region annually.  In 2010 we were awarded the Bill Gibbs Memorial Award for the best club results at the Humphrey Interclub Figure Skating Competition. We also put on a Carnival each year with all of our skaters. 

At the Kearney Dog Sled Race, on Saturday and Sunday Steve Nicholson of Deadwood Carving Company of Gravenhurst Ontario will be doing a chain saw carving on Main Street. He has been carving professionally for 2 years, and part time for about 6. As well as a variety of animal carving, bears, eagles, herons, otters, beavers, etc., he can do abstract carvings, as well as large log and rustic style furniture.
